Generous Deeside musicians have given a helping hand to local and national charities.
The Dark Island Ceilidh Band has raised more than £2,500 for good causes, including Clan Cancer Support, Mental Health Aberdeen, Maggie’s Centre and the Royal Deeside Railway.
The group is part of the Dark Island Trust which promotes traditional Scottish performing arts by giving new artists the chance to perform in public as well as donating any proceeds made to charity.
Members of the ceilidh band come from throughout Aberdeenshire.
Last year they played at numerous events including weddings and fundraising ceilidhs, including the Aboyne Summer Ball and for the Finzean Friendship Club.
