Warning for Aberdeen Airport passengers as road becomes ‘impassable’

Aberdeen Aiport passengers are being advised to avoid a stretch of the A96 as it will soon be closed by police because of flooding.

Police have received reports that the road between Forrit Brae and the airport roundabout is impassable.

“If people are going to the airport it is better to go in from the north,”  police said.

The airport has now been closed to all flights after a hole opened up in the runway, believed to be caused by the heavy downpours.
