No flights at Aberdeen Airport after hole appears in runway

There are no flights in and out of Aberdeen after a hole has been found in the runway.

A spokesman said there were no arrivals or departures.

“The runway was closed from 17.10pm because there is a hole in the runway which we think has been caused by the incessant rain over the past few days.”

Workers are out repairing the hole and the spokesman said they hoped the runway would be open later this evening.
