The Met Office has issued a yellow rain and snow warning for Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray running until 9am tomorrow. Streets in Banchory are already well covered as the white stuff continues to fall. Meanwhile the snow gate has been closed on the A939 Cock Bridge to Tomintoul. The Met Office said snow is likely to affect higher routes and some lower ground, mainly in Moray and inland Aberdeenshire. Up to about two inches is could accumulate in low level areas with about four inches on higher ground. “As the rain and snow gradually clear from the southwest, icy stretches will form on untreated roads,” the Met Office said.
