Assistant manager of Formartine United Mike Cormack agreed that Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Fraserburgh was a fair result but bemoaned the lack of football played due to the poor conditions.
He said: “We did have a couple of chances late on but we could have created more in that second half. I have to give praise to the Broch players, they dug deep as they always do and worked hard and it was a really good display by their young goalkeeper.”
Fraserburgh manager Mark Cowie was content with a point against one of the championship-chasing teams and said: “It is a point gained rather than two dropped and a draw was fair.
“We played the better football on a muddy pitch, especially in the first half when we were excellent, and Formartine were lucky to go in at the break with the score 1-1.
“We did not dominate the second half as I would have wanted. We played the football but they were good on the break, that is where they hurt us.”
