Two men have been left with serious injuries after an assault outside a fast-food takeaway.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Stonehaven’s Market Square at about 3am on Saturday.
Three men were assaulted and two, aged 30 and 32, had serious injuries.
Officers are particularly keen to speak with three men, who were seen to leave the area in a taxi shortly after the incident.
One is described as being white, 5ft9in stocky build, wearing dark jeans and a blue jacket.
PC Jo Castle, who is investigating the incident, said: “This is an unusual incident for Stonehaven and I am looking for anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has any information to come forward.”
