Police in Lerwick are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was threatened by a young man holding a weapon.
Constable Malcolm Macleod said the pensioner had been left in “fear and alarm” after being approached by a man in his early 20s at a bus stop in King Harold Street, near the Legion Scotland building, around 5.20pm on Friday.
The man is described as 6ft, of slim build, wearing a light blue hoodie or jacket with grey cotton jogging bottoms.
He also had a white ear piece and a distinctive tribal tattoo on the left side of his neck.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact them on 101.
