TV presenter and naturalist Nick Baker is returning to this year’s Cairngorms Nature Festival next month.
As part of the National Park’s weekend event, the Winterwatch presenter is hosting ‘Nick at Muick’ a special family nature event at Loch Muick.
The public are being invited to join Nick on the ‘nature bus’ which will leave Ballater and take the scenic route to Loch Muick where an afternoon of outdoor activities has been lined up.
Mr Baker said: “I am delighted to have been invited back to the Cairngorms Nature Festival, because it’s a fantastic weekend with so much to see and do.
“If you’ve never been to the Cairngorm National Park, it is the place for nature, why not come and see for yourself.”
There will be dozens of events over the weekend and all of these will take place at four main ‘hubs’ at Ballater, Blair Atholl, Aviemore and Tomintoull.
Cairngorm National Park spokeswoman Katrina Farquhar said: “It is fantastic to see Nick coming back to Deeside this year.
“We wanted to stage an event that really put Deeside back on the map as being open for business after the terrible effects of Storm Frank.”
The Cairngorms Nature Festival is being staged on May 14 and 15. It is essential to book for the ‘Nick at Muick’ event. Further information can be found at www.cairngorms.co.uk
