The A92 is closed near Lochgelly in both directions as emergency services battle to bring the blaze under control and manage traffic. Dramatic photos from the scene have emerged online showing the HGV resembling nothing more than a fireball. There are also reports the blaze can be seen from the Edinburgh side of the Firth of Forth. The lorry fire on the A92 Police confirmed the A92 was closed in both directions at the Lochgelly Interchange following a collision between two articulated lorries. “As a result of this incident both vehicles are now on fire and emergency services are in attendance,” police said. “The road is expected to be closed for at least three hours and local diversions have been put in place. “Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes. Police added: “No one has been injured, however the public are advised to use alternative routes while emergency services are in attendance.”
