Aspiring professional dancers will take to the stage in Moray to dazzle residents with stunning displays of footwork.
Youngsters honing their craft at the Rock Academy performing arts centre in Lossiemouth are limbering up to perform at Elgin Town Hall next week.
The fleet-footed teenagers have aspirations of performing on Broadway or at theatres in London’s West End – and the concert will give them some vital experience of dancing before a live crowd.
The Dance, Dance, Dance exhibition is designed to be a treat for aficionados and young people considering a career in the arts themselves.
As well as budding professionals from Rock Academy’s performing arts college, children as young as four from the organisation’s theatre school will take part.
Lossiemouth 17-year-old Rhiannon Brebner is undertaking a HNC professional dance performance course at the base.
The former Lossiemouth High School pupil said: “This show encompasses everything that Rock Academy is about – the talent here is unreal.
“I’m always surprised at what everyone is capable of.
“It is inspiring, and younger people who are thinking about a career on stage should come to the show to see exactly what we do.”
Rock Academy’s dance director, Diane Aspinall, promised the show would be a “stripped back” affair which focuses purely on the standard of students’ dancing.
Rock Academy rose to international acclaim for its role in bringing a musical about Scotland’s Bard to fruition.
Robert Burns: The Musical was devised originally by Michael Jackson and David Gest and transformed for the stage by the school’s co-owner Tish Tindall.
