Firefighters worked through the night to tackle a blaze at a flat in Orkney which left three needing medical attention.
Three units were sent out to the Kirklands Road property in the Kirkwall area at around 10.50 pm last night to help tackle the flames.
It is understood that the fire broke out at a ground-floor flat, leaving three individuals requiring medical attention for suspected smoke inhalation.
A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the fire is now extinguished but investigations into the cause of the fire are still ongoing.
