It was sometimes remarked he did more acting with his eyebrows than his lips.
But former James Bond star, Sir Roger Moore, is a bona fide Hollywood legend and will shake things up when he visits Aberdeen later in the year.
He is now 88 – and will be 89 by the time of his visit in November – but will be celebrating more than 70 years on stage and screen by going on tour.
Tickets for An Evening with Sir Roger Moore, at His Majesty’s Theatre on November 24, go on sale this week.
Joined by biographer Gareth Owen, Sir Roger will discuss his extraordinary life and career, and aficionados will be treated to inside stories and anecdotes from his astonishing career.
This also included the hit TV series The Saint and The Persuaders, plus a string of movie blockbusters and, of course, seven iconic appearances as the world’s most famous spy, 007.
Audiences will also have a unique opportunity to put their own questions to Sir Roger at the end of the show – and there are also a limited number of meet and greet packages available.
APA Communications Officer Erica Banks said: “We’re very excited to announce Sir Roger Moore is coming to HMT.
“He worked as a model and appeared in several films and television dramas before finding fame as Simon Templar in The Saint and Lord Brett Sinclair in The Persuaders.
“Legions of 007 fans followed his portrayal of Bond, and this is a fantastic chance to hear fascinating stories from across his career.
Sir Roger played the role of 007 from 1973 with Live and Let Die, until he bowed out with A View to a Kill in 1985.
He was knighted in 2003 for his charity work and remains a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
