Police are appealing for information, following a break-in and robbery at a Moray bakery.
Crooks made off with hundreds of pounds after gaining entry to the Harry Gow premises on Elgin’s Moycroft Road, just off the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road.
The incident took place between 5pm on Wednesday evening and 5.40am yesterday morning.
The Elgin community policing team has appealed for residents who noticed anything untoward in the area at the time of the theft to contact officers.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of the bakery overnight, we would be keen to speak to them.
“We would also encourage all commercial businesses to ensure any monies or personal items left within premises during hours of closure are secured safely and preferably out of sight from the public.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101, or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
