Ballots were originally expected to be cast at the Fochabers Public Institute, but ongoing work at the venue has forced a change of plan. Polling stations will now be set up at the Bellie Church Hall next Thursday morning. Signs redirecting voters to the village square venue will be put up at the Institute building. The council has also issued a further 1,219 postal votes, and is urging residents to return them as quickly as possible. More than 14,000 postal votes were sent out earlier this month, and approximately 50% of the packs have been returned to the council. Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday, with the Moray count taking place at Elgin Town Hall.
