Consultation launched on additional services for north-east kids with additional needs
By
A public consultation into providing further services for children with additional support needs at two north-east schools has been launched.
Locals opinions are being sought on the creation of an enhanced provision centre at Mill O’Forest School in Stonehaven and the potential relocation of the current one at Portlethen Primary.
The units offer increased levels of assistance for pupils with additional support needs through the creation of sensory rooms and life skill areas.
As part of the consultation, three public meeting are taking place.
The last of these will be next Wednesday at Mill O’ Forest School at 6.30pm.
Members of the public can also give their feedback online as part of a survey on the proposals by visiting Aberdeenshire Council’s consultation database.
The closing date for responses is Friday, September 16.
