A pair of Scottish music legends have scheduled a concert in Moray as they mark a milestone year.
Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham have been touring and recording as a duo for 30 years, and have mapped out a selection of shows to mark that anniversary.
They will perform at Elgin Town Hall on Saturday, September 2.
This year also has some individual significance to the two veteran virtuosos – as Mr Bain marked his 70th birthday in May and Mr Cunningham toasts 40 years in music.
James McKay, who runs the Huntly Live Events company, was instrumental in persuading the duo to include a Moray date on their itinerary.
Mr McKay said: “The tour has been titled Le Grande Anniversaire, and they will be reflecting on their years together.
“They share a lot of stories on stage, and the banter between them is similar to what you’d get from an old married couple – they’re great to watch.
“But the most important thing is the music, and they are both extremely talented.”
The luminaries of the Scottish folk scene have captured a strong Moray following after making several visits to the Speyfest music festival at Fochabers since it launched in 1995.
