Emergency services have launched a search operation in Orkney following concerns being raised for the wellbeing of two men believed to have been fishing in the area.
The two men are reported to have left an address in Dounby to fish around Loch of Boardhouse near Birsay earlier this morning.
A report was received by police at around 11.30am and following local enquiries, searches of the loch area commenced involving police officers, Scottish Fire and Rescue, Coastguard personnel and members of the local community.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Officers are currently informing family of the missing men. Further information will be issued in due course.”
