Gang carried out Moray assault

Police are hunting a gang who assaulted a man in a Moray town during the early hours of this morning.

Officers say that a 31-year-old man was left with injuries to his face and leg following the attack on Keith’s Mid Street.

The incident happened between 15 minutes after midnight and 1am, and it is understood a group of men carried out the assault.

Constable Laura Begg said: “I would urge anyone who was in the area on the night in question, and saw anything, to contact police as soon as possible.

“No matter how insignificant they may think the information is, it could help with our investigation.”
