The official launch date of one of the north-east’s biggest races has been announced.
The 30th Bakers Hughes 10K will return to Aberdeen on Sunday, May 14 2017, Sport Aberdeen has announced.
A total of 3,600 people took part in the running event this year in the name of charity.
Early bird prices will be available from September 30, with runners signing up from this date eligible for a discounted ticket price of £21 – down from £24.
The race will take place to raise money for a number of good causes.
A Sport Aberdeen spokesman said: “The Baker Hughes 10K is an important event in the Aberdeen calendar and not just for those taking part.
“The event truly brings the city together both in the lead up to the race and on race day itself.
“We take great pride in our efforts to create opportunities for the public to be involved in sport and physical activity and the Baker Hughes 10K is a one of a kind event.”
