A woman has been charged with fraudulently claiming more than £12,000 in benefits.
Sophie Ramsay is accused of lying to the Department of Work and Pensions, claiming she was severely disabled and unable to walk when she was actually capable of working.
Prosecutors allege the 26-year-old told the authorities she required disability living allowance to get by.
But they claim she gave them false information between October 2007 and June 2012.
Court papers stated that, while she was claiming the benefits, she was in paid employment which required her to be physically active.
The case against Ramsay, of Union Cottage, Rickarton, Stonehaven was continued without plea at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
It will call again later this year.
