Picture by Twitter user @NienHagh Firefighters rushed to the scene of a blaze at an old house next to a former north-east hotel on Friday night. Four appliances attended the fire near the former Hillside House Hotel in Portlethen. The A90 was closed northbound for over an hour to allow access for emergency services. They were called just after 10pm. It is understood nobody was injured in the incident. The building was well alight and could be seen for miles around, with people taking to social media to post pictures of the blaze. Fire next to the Hillside House near Portlethen.
