Two young children spotted on a north-east river have been traced. Police issued an appeal for information following reports of two young boys, both believed to be seven years old, on the River Ythan at around 7.30pm. One was wearing a life jacket on the river bank and the other in a small yellow canoe. They were last seen near to the Meiklemill Primary School. Police Scotland have now confirmed that they have been found safe and well.
