A successful Aberdeen poet returned to her former school to help pupils become well-versed in her craft.
Georgia Bartlett-McNeil, who is also a spoken-word artist, has proved to be a hit on the Edinburgh poetry scene, and has had her work featured on national radio.
The 21-year-old attended St Margaret’s School for Girls between 2008-12 and was invited back to conduct a writing workshop with Advanced Higher English pupils.
Head teacher Anna Tomlinson said: “To welcome back a former pupil who has excelled in this particular subject is wonderful for the pupils.
“Georgia has been writing poetry since she was a young St Margaret’s pupil sitting Standard Grade English aged 13.
“It is wonderful to see how she has progressed. Georgia spent the morning at our poetry workshop with our Advanced Higher English pupils, which also included performances to staff.
“We wish her the very best in her future endeavours and look forward to watching her continued success.”
