A piano at Aberdeen International Airport that was introduced as a temporary art project will stay for good after proving popular with passengers.
The piano was introduced as part of the Play Me, I’m Yours project, where the instruments were put in venues across the city for people to play.
And so many passengers have enjoyed playing or hearing a song at the airport, that bosses have decided to keep it.
The instrument was designed by students from North East Scotland College, and has featured in videos online after the airport’s social media channel started sharing posts of talented passengers playing it.
Carol Benzie, managing director of Aberdeen International Airport said: “We were delighted to support the Play Me, I’m Yours project.
“Our piano in the airport terminal has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from passengers of all ages.”
She added she had “thoroughly enjoyed” seeing the pianos brightening up the city, and said they had brought “pleasure to locals and tourists alike”.
