A man who was hit by a bus on Aberdeen’s Union Street last week has died.
Douglas Rae, 59, from Aberdeen, was rushed to hospital after being hit near the junction between Union Street and Holburn Street.
The Aberdeen man was previously reported to be in critical condition, but police have today confirmed he died in hospital.
Union Street was closed following the incident last Monday night at 10pm, with investigation work taking place until 2am.
Sergeant Dave Pirie said: “Our thoughts are obviously with Mr Rae’s family and friends at this very sad time.
“Inquiries into the incident are still on-going and as such I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact Police. We believe there was a number of people who came to Mr Rae’s assistance in the moments after the collision, and I would particularly appeal for them to come forward by contacting the force on 101.”
