Police have named the motorcyclist killed yesterday in a two-vehicle crash on a north-east road.
46-year-old Gary Andrew was riding his motorcycle on the unclassified Cuminestown to Fyvie road near South Tuechar at around 9.10am when the crash happened.
Family and friends today paid tribute to the “much loved” Cuminestown man, saying: “We are all devastated at the sudden loss of Gary, a very much loved husband, son, son-in-law, brother & uncle and a friend to many.
“He will be sorely missed.
“We would appreciate time to come to terms with our loss.”
Two appliances, with 11 firefighters on board, were rushed to the scene yesterday morning. Paramedics were also in attendance along with Police Scotland.
The female driver of the other vehicle involved, a car, sustained minor injuries.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Officers continue to appeal for anyone with information about the collision who have not yet come forward to contact Police on 101.”
