Police are hunting for two men after a fire was set deliberately in a block of Aberdeen flats.
Emergency services were called to the block on Gord Road, Tillydrone, just before 10pm on Sunday.
Nobody was injured, but police are keen to track down two men seen in the area at the time.
Detective Constable John Murdoch said people who started fires were putting lives at risk.
He said: “Although no one was injured I can’t stress enough the dangers of starting fires within residential properties.
“You don’t know how a fire will develop and you are putting lives at risk.
“We believe that two males were seen in the area shortly before the incident in question, of which one is thought to be a teenager who was wearing a blue and white woollen hat with a black design.
“I would urge anyone with information about this person, or anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 to remain anonymous.”
