Two people have been treated by paramedics following a blaze at a north-east farm house. Three fire appliances were called to the home in St Fergus, near Peterhead, at 8.30pm, following reports of a kitchen fire. Two crews from Peterhead and one from Fraserburgh brought the blaze under control by 9.15pm. An ambulance was also sent to the scene, where two casualties were treated for smoke inhalation. A fire and rescue spokesman said: “We were up in St Fergus, there was a fire at a farm house. “Three pumps attended. We got the call at 8.30pm. “There was an ambulance requested due to smoke inhalation, I don’t know the severity of that.” A police spokesman said the force had been made aware of the incident. He added: “The fire service phoned us at 8.50pm to say there was a kitchen fire. They didn’t need us there.”
