Police are appealing for information after a spate of vandalism and thefts at a former north-east academy.
A number of windows were smashed and building equipment stolen from Mearns Academy, Laurencekirk over the weekend.
The incident happened between 5pm on Friday and 9am on Monday.
The value of the items stolen is estimated to be worth more than £100.
Constable Joe Smith said: “The academy is currently being stripped out in preparation for demolition and specialist contractors are currently removing hazardous materials from within.
“I would stress that individuals are putting themselves at risk by entering the building.
“Amongst the items stolen was a specialist face mask manufactured by Sundstron, which is yellow in colour. I would urge anyone who has information regarding the damage and theft to contact the police.”
Anyone with information should call 101 or 0800 555 111.
