Police are investigating reports of two boys attempting to set alight a young child’s football top.
The incident occurred on Saturday night on Inverurie Road near the Four Mile Inn in the Bucksburn area.
The eight-year-old boy, who was wearing an Aberdeen Football Club top, was not injured in the incident.
Police have also confirmed that all children involved have been identified.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that we are investigating reports of an incident in the Bucksburn area which occurred during the evening of Saturday, September 17.
“The children involved have been identified, work is ongoing with partner agencies and positive lines of inquiry into the incident continue. No persons were injured as a result of this incident.”
