A historic north-east bridge will be closed on several days next month to allow a £530,000 reconstruction to take place.
Traffic heading over the Rob Roy Bridge in Peterculter will be diverted on Sunday, October 2 from 6am until 8pm, on Saturday October 22 at 6am until the following Monday at 5am and Friday, October 28 at 7pm until the following Monday at 5am.
Councillor Ross Grant, a transport spokesman for the council, said:
“We hope to avoid as much disruption as possible and will aim to open the bridge earlier if all goes to plan.
“Due to the complex nature of the work and that it is a very restricted site, it will be necessary to have complete closures at times and the intention is to limit these to weekends.
“We appreciate people’s patience while the works are being carried out.”
