A serial thief has been told he could be locked up after a spate of break-ins across the north-east.
Michal Runkowski appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday where he pleaded guilty to 12 offences between February 23 and May 12 this year.
The court heard the 33-year-old had broken into Co-Op Food, on Station Road, Kemnay, on February 14 and made off with a lottery ticket dispenser and tickets.
The tickets were worthless but the machine was worth about £1,500.
Rynkowski then targeted Duncan Architects in Market Place, Inverurie between March 23 and 24.
He broke in through the third-floor window and made off with a computer monitor, computer tower, two laptops, two cameras and a mouse.
The items were worth £3,200.
The following day he stole two license plates from a car parked on Ann Street, Aberdeen.
He then put them on another vehicle which he used to steal fuel from the Morrison’s filling station on the city’s West North Street.
The court heard that between March 25 and March 26 Rynkowski stole a ladder from Blackhall Industrial Estate in Inverurie, which he subsequently used to break into Travis Perkins in the Harlaw Business Centre.
He made off with a mobile phone, an internal cordless phone, a charger and a drill and wrench set, worth a total of £4,014.
On April 6, Rynkowksi, whose address was given as HMP Grampian, tried to break into the Co-op on Burghmuir Drive in the town.
He was also convicted of driving without a licence or insurance and a number of bail violations.
Sheriff Graeme Napier deferred sentence for reports but told Rynkowski it was “quite likely” he would be jailed given the extensive list of crimes.
