One of Aberdeenshire’s most popular chippers is celebrating reaching the finals of an annual catering competition.
The Bay Fish and Chips in Stonehaven has reached the final of the Compass Group UK and Ireland annual awards.
The finalists were announced on September 21 at a gala in London hosted by Irish comedian and TV personality, Dara O Briain.
The awards, now in their third year, celebrate the contribution businesses around the country make to the success of food supplier, Compass Group UK and Ireland.
The Bay Fish and Chips is one of five finalists in the supplier of the year category, having made the cut due to its distribution of award-winning premium bay batter – which is used offshore.
The sought-after recipe is also used by the armed forces.
Owner Calum Richardson, said: “It’s truly an honour to get to this stage and for me it signifies exactly how far The Bay Fish and Chips and I have come over the past 10 years.
“It makes me incredibly proud to be able to offer my services to a world-renowned company like Compass Group and I hope this helps to solidify an already strong relationship.”
