Aberdeen road closed after crash involving a pedestrian

Police have taped off an Aberdeen road this evening following a crash involving a pedestrian.

Officers were called to Castle Street at the Castlegate shortly before 7pm.

The pedestrian was knocked down by a vehicle, however at this stage the severity of their injuries is currently unknown.

UPDATE: The pedestrian has been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

The road has now been reopened.
