A teenager was left with facial injuries after being assaulted outside a north-east takeaway in the early hours.
Police have appealed for witnesses after the 19-year-old man was assaulted outside the Nile Takeaway at Bellfield carpark in Banchory on Sunday, 18 September.
It is understood the man injured was involved in a disturbance with a number of other men aged between 20 and 25 and was then assaulted.
The man sustained facial injuries as a result and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The incident happened at around 1am and police have appealed to anyone who saw anything or has any information to contact them.
PC Kerri Johnston said: “Around two or three females tended to the victim’s injuries after the assault happened and there were also a number of other people in the area who may have witnessed what happened.
“We are asking for them to get in touch with us on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous as they may have information which could assist with our enquiries.”
