Two men have been charged, following the recovery of crack cocaine in Peterhead.
Police confirmed last night a 28-year-old man from Liverpool and a 44-year-old man from Peterhead had been charged after being found with diamorphine and crack cocaine with a street value of more than £4,000.
The drugs were discovered within a property in the Longate area of the town on Saturday, October 1, as part of Operation Aspen.
Constable Kate Coyle said: “Police Scotland is committed to tackling drugs in our communities. Anyone with concerns about drug misuse in their area should contact police on 101 or, if they wish to remain anonymous, the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
Operation Aspen is a sustained and concentrated initiative, relating to all drug activity in the north-east.
