Two consultation drop-in sessions are being held for residents to speak with First Aberdeen and Aberdeen City Council representatives about the proposed axing of bus service in Kingswells.
First Aberdeen has sparked public controversy and attracted political criticism by confirming it intends to cease its X40 and 11 routes to the suburb by the end of the year.
The events are to be held at Kingswells Community Centre on Wednesday from 4pm to 7.30pm, and on Saturday from 11am to 2.30pm
A First Aberdeen spokesman said: “We are committed to local consultation on all of our services and our representatives will be in attendance at the drop-in sessions next week.
“We would encourage local people to come along to these sessions to discuss the changes we announced in August and to hear our reasons for them.
“Our consultation on services X40 and 11 dates back to April when we sought to understand why patronage on these services had been low for so long.
“In response to insights and feedback we received at that time, we simplified the route but this failed to have the necessary impact on customer numbers.”
