Police are appealing for information following reports of a teenage male behaving inappropriately towards females at a park in Aberdeen.
Officers have received two separate reports of a male in his late teens approaching and inappropriately touching two females at Seaton Park near to the Hillhead Halls of Residence.
Both incidents occurred on or near steps next to the site between 5pm and 5.30pm in the past two weeks.
The man in question is described as white, between the ages of 17 and 20, around 5ft 7 in height with short fair hair. It is understood he was wearing dark sportswear including a hooded top and jogging bottoms at the time.
Detective Constable Kirsty Munro said: “Neither of the females who were involved in the incidents were hurt or injured in any way, however understandably they were concerned and felt uncomfortable about what had happened.
“Given the similarities of the incidents uniformed officers will be giving particular attention to the area and I would urge people using the park to be on their guard. In saying this these type of incidents are extremely rare in the area and the city generally, and I would like to reassure the community that Police are taking these reports seriously.
“I would also ask anyone who recognises the description of the male provided and can assist with the investigation to contact Police on 101 with information, or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”
