Motorists could face delays due to roadworks on one of the north-east’s major roads.
Resurfacing work costing £125,000 will start on the southbound carriageway of the A90 Aberdeen-Dundee road, at Portlethen, from next week.
The improvements, which are being carried out by Bear Scotland, will take place over four nights from Tuesday till Saturday.
A convoy system will be in place during these hours to ensure the safety of workers and drivers.
Last night, Andy Thompson, Bear’s north-east representative, said: “These works will repair a number of cracks, potholes and other issues which will improve the general condition and safety of the road for motorists.
“The resurfacing improvements has been scheduled to take place overnight to limit the impact to motorists, however we encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”
The repairs will start at 7.30pm on Tuesday with the last day finishing at 6.30am on Saturday.
Bear is urging motorists to plan their journeys to help minimise any delays.
