The Met Office has issued a flood warning for the Grampian area.
The region is expected to be awash with heavy rain tomorrow, which is expected to continue into the weekend.
The yellow ‘be aware’ alert covers from 12.05am on Saturday and runs until 6pm.
Forecasters have said the rainfall could “gradually lift river levels in Aberdeenshire, bringing some minor river flooding for Saturday.
Drivers are also being told to be on alert for surface water flooding and spray on roads.
The rain should gradually clear away to the north later that day.

A Met Office forecaster said: “An easterly airstream will bring frequent showers to eastern Scotland on Friday. Given recent dry weather, this looks unlikely to produce any impacts initially.
“However, it is likely to leave conditions more saturated such that the arrival of more persistent rain, in association with a frontal system, brings a greater risk of flooding on Saturday.
“Over a 48 hour period 20-40 mm rainfall could occur quite widely, with 60-100 mm perhaps accumulating over some east-facing hills.”
The Met Office also warned there could be a risk of lightening for some eastern parts of the UK this afternoon.
