A woman remains in a serious condition in hospital following a two-car crash in Peterhead.
The town’s South Road has been closed since the smash at around 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
It is understood fire crews had to free one person from the Renault Clio.
One woman was airlifted to hospital in Aberdeen after the crash.
Police have confirmed she is still in ARI in a serious condition.
Meanwhile, officers are appealing for a man who stopped to help both drivers after the collision to come forward.
Sergeant Steve Milne from Aberdeen Road Policing said: “Witnesses are the key to understanding exactly what happened in this collision. I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this collision to come forward and help us.
“We are aware that a male stopped to help both drivers immediately after the crash and we would really like him, or any other witnesses to this incident, to contact us on 101.”
