Two men have appeared in court following a late night “disturbance” outside an Aberdeen shopping arcade.
Police cordoned off part of Aldi’s supermarket car park in Foresterhill Road following an “incident” on Tuesday night where a man was injured.
The casualty was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, although it is understood he did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
Police said the altercation, which took place around 9.30pm on Tuesday, appeared to be a “targeted attack”.
Yesterday Paul Douglas and Jay Longmuir, both 23, appeared in private at the city’s sheriff court in connection with the incident.
The pair are both accused of having a firearm or imitation firearm in public as well as facing charges relating to having offensive weapons and blades in their possession.
They are further accused of having controlled drugs in their possession and being concerned in the supply of drugs.
Douglas, from Dundee, and Longmuir, from Kirriemuir, both made no plea when they appeared in front of Sheriff Margaret Hodge. They were released on bail.
They are expected to appear in court again within a week.
