An Aberdeen psychologist has supported two life-changing charities by braving the barbers and cutting off 17 inches of hair.
Kristina Ceslikauskaite has generated more than £1,000 for Momentum Skills, an organisation which supports people with brain injuries and mental health issues, by having a special fundraising haircut.
The 24-year-old went under the scissors on Thursday, where her hairdresser managed to snip off five plaits of hair.
And Ms Ceslikauskaite donated her healthy locks to the Little Princess Trust, a group that provides real hair wigs to children who have lost theirs due to cancer.
Ms Ceslikauskaite, who works for Momentum Skills in Aberdeen as an assistant psychologist, said: “I’ve wanted to do something for Momentum for a long time, and when I found out about the Little Princess Trust I thought doing this would be a great way to combine the two.
“I wanted to do something personal, and cutting my hair this short was very personal to me.
“I was freaking out beforehand, but it was all worth it of course for these two amazing causes.
“In my job at Momentum I can see how far the money goes at the charity, it makes a huge difference for the people we support.
“We work hard to help our clients grow their confidence, make new friends and help them find jobs, so this cash will really do a lot to improve the programme and help us offer more.”
