VIDEO: Stunning timelapse footage of the Northern Lights over the north-east

Debbi Beer has been photographing the Northern Lights for more than two years and still gets “immense pleasure” from seeing them.

The first time was in February 2014 and the housewife, who lives just outside Cuminestown, near Turriff, says she will never forget that night.

“I nearly cried with excitement”, she said.

She was one of the lucky ones who got to enjoy the aurora borealis this week and captured the stunning display in this timelapse video.
