Police have shut down several streets this morning after a body was found in an Aberdeen home.
There is a large police presence around Arnage Terrace, Arnage Drive and Willowbank Place, Mastrick, in Aberdeen.
A incident van and specialist officers are at the scene as investigations continue.
Police Scotland confirmed that the death of a man in the Mastrick area of Aberdeen is being treated as suspicious.
The spokesman added: “Officers were called to a property in the Arnage Place area at around 5am this morning following concerns for a man in his 20s.
“The Scottish Ambulance Service along with officers attended however he was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Inquiries are continuing to trace the man’s next of kin to confirm his identity. Further details will be released in due course.
A major investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death is ongoing and officers are following a positive line of inquiry.”
Detective Inspector Gary Winter, from Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team who is leading the investigation, said: “There’s no doubt that this incident will cause concern within the community, however I would like to stress that we are treating this as an isolated and contained matter and that at no point did there appear to be any threat to other members of the public.
“I would also like to thank the public for their patience while this incident is being dealt with. There will be a visible police presence in the area as we continue with our enquiries and I would again ask for the public’s patience.
