Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a north-east shop.
A man entered the Icon Grocers in George Street, Aberdeen, at around 6.10am today, presented a weapon and demanded money.
He made off with a two-figure sum of cash along with a small amount of items.
The man is described as being white, slim build around 5ft 8 – 5ft 10 inches tall and aged in his late teens or early twenties.
He is described as wearing a dark waterproof hooded jacket with the hood pulled around his face.
Detective Sergeant Jamie Sherlock said: “Fortunately no one was injured in this incident however it would have been extremely frightening for the staff involved.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time given who may have seen anything to get in touch with us.
“I’m also appealing to any drivers with vehicles fitted with dashboard cameras who were in the area of George Street around the time in question to check any recordings and report anything suspicious
“Officers will be in the area carrying out enquiries and I would ask that if you spotted anything unusual or suspicious or have any information you speak to the officers or contact police on 101.
