An emergency was sparked this afternoon after a broken down boat started to drift towards a wall at a north-east harbour. Lifeboat teams were scrambled after news broke of the broken down vessel at the entrance to Peterhead Harbour just before 11.55am. A spokesman for Peterhead Lifeboat LPO said: “There was a concern because the boat was getting closer to the harbour wall. “The teams cam back in at around 1pm after assisting. There were no injuries.” More to follow.
