Aberdeen residents are ditching the natural look to fork out huge amounts on fake tan products, a new survey has revealed.
The huge haul has seen the Granite City rocket into the top 3 fake-tanning cities in the UK, with Scots cities dominating the table overall.
The findings, based on a survey by online make-up store BeautyFlash.co.uk, show that Glasgow remains top of the table having spent a whopping £3,500 on the site over the last six months.
Edinburgh and Aberdeen have also overtaken Essex with the Scottish cities now dominating the fake tan table.
In contrast, those living in the Highlands & Islands have spent the least in the UK with people in Orkney spending nothing at all on the beauty product.
The Shetland Islands meanwhile have spent £60 on the site, while Inverness handed over just £106 to the firm.
Lisa de-la-Plain, co-founder of Beauty Flash, said: “We hear the same beauty stereotypes being talked about so much, that sometimes we assume they must be true.
“Our latest research is fascinating because it shows how wrong our preconceptions can be and reveals more accurate insights into what the real beauty trends are across the country.”
