A man has been released pending further inquiries after money was allegedly stolen at a Remembrance Sunday event in Aberdeen.
The 34-year-old had been charged by police and was due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
But the Crown Office confirmed this afternoon that the man had been released after “a careful consideration of the facts”.
A spokesman said: “The Procurator Fiscal received a report concerning a 34 year old male, in connection with alleged incidents said to have occurred on November 13.
“After full and careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case, he was liberated from custody pending further inquiries and did not appear in court.”
