A north-east school wrecked by vandals will remain closed tomorrow as staff work to clear up the mess.
Markethill Primary in Turriff continues to be closed to pupils and teachers after it was trashed over the weekend, leaving the school facing £20,000 of repairs.
Police and Aberdeenshire Council officers have been at the school throughout the day to assess the damage.
Sergeant David Threadgold described the damage as “an example of utterly mindless and wanton vandalism”.
A spokesman for the council said: “We are repeating our calls for anyone with any information to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
